Drew Brannon, Ph.D.

Dr. Brannon, a licensed psychologist and partner at the Lowdergroup joined the practice in 2010. He is originally from Knoxville, Tennessee and completed his undergraduate studies at Presbyterian College (PC). While at PC, he was a four-year varsity athlete and studied English and psychology. During his undergraduate studies, Dr. Brannon was twice recognized as an NCAA Academic All-American.
Dr. Brannon completed his psychology training at the University of Georgia. Dr. Brannon focused his doctoral studies in Counseling Psychology, with a concentration in Applied Sport/Exercise Psychology. In addition, he completed advanced training in psychological assessment. He also worked for three years within the University of Georgia Athletic Department as a member of the Sports Medicine team (2006-2009), where he provided counseling and sport psychology services to student-athletes, coaches, and teams. Following his training at Georgia, Dr. Brannon completed an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited clinical internship at the Oklahoma Health Consortium at the University of Oklahoma where he did clinical rotations within the University of Oklahoma Athletics Department and the University of Oklahoma’s Goddard Health Center, providing counseling, assessment, and crisis/on-call services to student-athletes and undergraduate students.
In his role at the Lowdergroup, Dr. Brannon provides counseling, assessment, and sport psychology services to children and adults. He also provides consulting services in the areas of leadership development and executive coaching to individuals and organizations. Dr. Brannon has previously served as the consulting sport psychologist to the University of Georgia Athletic Department (2010-2013). In addition, he has consulted with Greenville Health System’s (GHS) Department of Minimal Access and Bariatric Surgery (2010-2013), completing pre-surgical psychological evaluations. Currently, in addition to his role within the practice, he provides sport psychology services within the athletic departments at Furman University and Presbyterian College. Dr. Brannon has earned the status of Certified Consultant with the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (CC-AASP # 344).
Dr. Brannon and his wife are the proud parents of two daughters and a son. They are actively involved in their church, Downtown Presbyterian Church in Greenville. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and is also an avid runner and cyclist.
